InterAction Guidance Note 1 Webinar 2: Impact Evaluation: NGO Perspectives, with Oxfam America and Save the Children

InterAction developed a four-part series of guidance notes and webinars on impact evaluation. The purpose of the series is to build the capacity of NGOs (and others) to demonstrate effectiveness by increasing their understanding of and ability to conduct high quality impact evaluation.

Each guidance note is accompanied by two webinars. In the first webinar, the authors present an overview of their note. In the second webinar, two organizations -present on their experiences with different aspects of impact evaluation.

EES Conference 2012: "New Ways to Present Evaluation Findings"

The presentation of evaluation findings has long suffered from a lack of innovation. The tedious PowerPoint and the dense Word report have had a direct impact on evaluation findings not being read or acted upon. However, evaluators are starting to use new and innovative ways of illustrating their results, changing also the nature of the delivery and dissemination of evaluation findings.

EES Conference 2012: "Systematic review of 15 years IO/INGO communications"

In this video, Glenn O'Neil of Owl RE presents the paper "A systematic review of 15 years IO/INGO communications". This purpose of this paper is to understand how intergovernmental organizations and international non-governmental organizations have evaluated their communication activities and to what extent they have adhered to principles of evaluation methodology over a 15 year period (1995--2010).

This webinar, part 8 in an 8-part series on the BetterEvaluation rainbow framework, focuses on tasks to manage an evaluation – including understanding and engaging stakeholders, establishing decision-making processes for the evaluation, deciding who will conduct it, securing resources, defining evaluation standards, documenting agreements (including contractual arrangements) and formal evaluation plans and developing evaluation capacity.
